The purpose of the San Francisco Tenants Union is
to promote the preservation and expansion of the rights of
tenants and the supply of affordable housing. The TU offers
membership based org. that offers counseling to members
and non-members.
Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco
is a tenants rights organization that offers free counseling
for San Francisco tenants in all types ofhousing,
including rent-control, SROs, public housing and Section 8.
Eviction Defense Collaborative
The Eviction Defense Collaborative is the principal
organization in San Francisco helping low-income tenants
respond to eviction lawsuits. Each year they provide
emergency legal services and rental assistance to over
5,000 tenants in San Francisco. If you have received

Chinatown Community Development Center
The Mission of the Chinatown Community Development Center
is to build community and enhance the quality of life for
San Francisco residents. They are a place-based community
development organization serving primarily the Chinatown
neighborhood, and also serve other areas including North Beach
and the Tenderloin. The organization has many roles -
as neighborhood advocates, organizers and planners,
and as developers and managers of affordable housing.
Causa Justa:: Just Cause
Causa Justa :: Just Cause has a multi-faceted approach
to fighting for social justice. They provide tenant rights advocacy
and information to tenants through a Housing Committee/
Tenants’ Rights Clinic. Building membership through recruitment
in the tenants' rights clinics and through neighborhood
door knocking and outreach.
Eviction Free San Francisco
EFSF is a direct action group whose mission is to help stop the wave
of evictions in San Francisco using different kinds of creative action
to hold accountable and to confront real estate speculators
and landlords that are displacing our communities for profit.
Meetings are organized on a mutual aid model and always with the
tenants of the buildings being threatened with eviction.
Eviction Free San Francisco regular meetings are on the 1st and 3rd
Wednesdays of each month at 6 PM

Anti-Eviction Mapping Project
The Anti-Eviction Mapping Project is a data-visualization,
data analysis, and storytelling collective documenting
the dispossession of San Francisco Bay Area residents
in the wake of the Tech Boom 2.0. Through digital maps,
oral history work, film, murals, and community events,
the project renders connections between the nodes and
effects of new entanglements of global capital, real estate,
high tech, and political economy.
Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE)
The Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) Action
is a grassroots, member-led, statewide community organization working
with more than 10,000 members across California. ACCE is dedicated
to raising the voices of everyday Californians, neighborhood by
neighborhood, to fight for the policies and programs we need
to improve our communities and create a brighter future.
